Privacy Policy

American Burraco is a card game for iPhone and iPad published by GR Stories (grstories.com). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app.

In short: American Burraco does not collect any personal data. Everything you do in the game stays on your device.

Who we are

American Burraco is published by GR Stories. The person responsible for your data under this policy (the "data controller") is Giorgio Rodia, Piazza dell'Emporio, Rome, Italy. For privacy and legal questions, write to legal@grstories.com; for anything else, hello@grstories.com.

What the app saves, and where

So that you can continue where you left off, the app saves the following only on your device:

• your current game, your Pass and Play game and your daily challenge game;
• your settings, such as difficulty, sound and animation speed;
• your statistics, match history (your last 100 single-player matches), achievements and daily challenge results;
• the names you type for Pass and Play players.

This information is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it.

What the app does not do

• It has no account or sign-in.
• It shows no advertising and has no in-app purchases.
• It has no analytics or tracking, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
• It contains no third-party software (SDKs).
• It does not connect to the internet: the game works entirely offline.
• It does not access your contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone.

Device backups

If you back up your device (with iCloud Backup or on a computer), the app's saved data can be included in those backups, as with most apps. Backups are managed by you and by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; we have no access to them.

Information Apple may share with us

If you have chosen, in your device settings, to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us crash reports and aggregated statistics about the app, such as the number of installations. This information does not identify you, and we use it only to fix problems and improve the app. You can change this choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers.

Our website

The app's About & Credits screen has a link to grstories.com. It opens in your web browser, where the website's own privacy practices apply.

If you write to us

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use this only to answer you and to fix any problem you report, on the basis of our legitimate interest in handling your request (Article 6(1)(f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR). Our email provider processes these messages on our behalf. We keep them only as long as needed to deal with your request, and delete them within 24 months at the latest.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app from your device deletes everything it has saved. Copies in older device backups disappear when those backups are replaced or deleted. To have your emails to us deleted, just ask.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. In practice, this is only the emails you have sent us. You can also restrict or object to its use, and receive it in a portable format. To exercise these rights, write to legal@grstories.com. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app adds features that handle personal data, such as online play with friends, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date at the top.
